Temperatures may be dropping with summer drawing to an end but it’s about to get smokin’ hot this autumn with biker chic sweeping the style stakes. With the likes of It-Girls du jour, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof sporting the look, key pieces are everywhere and can effortlessly transform an outfit into something super-sexy.

Far from looking like you’ve stepped straight off a motorbike – head to foot leathers are probably best avoided, unless you actually are a motorchick – it’s more about selecting the bits of the trend that suit you to make it funky and edgy.
