Previously voted runner up for Best Shoe Shop by Time Out London, Black Truffle exceeds its title by hosting a marvellous collection of quirky designs for eccentric footwear lovers. Boasting everything from chunky heeled Chie Mihara shoe boots to intricately patterned natural wood sandals by Giallo Positano, the Black Truffle selection is admiringly diverse in style and taste. For men, Paul & Joe offer canvas shoes and suede lace ups.

The original boutique first opened 2003 in Broadway Market, and following its immense popularity and success, owner Melissa Needham opened the Warren Street branch just three years later. Not only does the sister store rival its East End partner, it is home to the Prescott & Mackay School of Fashion and Accessory Design, offering short courses in shoemaking, bag making, millinery, corsetry, and (of course) tutu making.

In addition to classic leather goods such as Ally Capellino card holders, Black Truffle proudly presents an colourful and eco friendly showcase of vegan and non-leather bags for the environmentally conscious shopper. bt2

Jeff Clothing is featured as the major label for Black Truffle women’s wear and London-friendly print raincoats and winter jackets also grace the racks in store.

As for gifts, an interesting and thoughtful collection of homeware, confectionery, and greeting cards are available; “Products are sourced from far and wide, offering customers a unique opportunity to discover some rare finds in the world of fashion and design”.
