Don’t Call it a Comeback…

pam-hogg-shopFollowing the success of her much anticipated return to London Fashion Week, cult designer and musician, Pam Hogg is revisiting old territory.

For a limited time only, just one month in fact, fashion veteran Pam Hogg  has opened a pop-up boutique in the Newburgh Quarter of Carnaby Street. The store is just three doors away from her original boutique which was a premier fashion haunt in the 80′s.

Pam’s return couldn’t have come at a better time, having previously dressed stars like Kylie Minogue, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Rihanna and long time friend Siouxsie Sioux, British fashion is beyond ready for her.

With a renewed interest stemming from the fashion-forward and her iconic style prevalent among today’s youth culture, Pam is the epitome of a decade currently being celebrated in fashion and she has shrewdly recognised this trend.

pamhogg420alice20dellalFor her Hogg-Couture AW 09/10 collection at LFW’s On|Off in February, Pam enlisted the next generation of ‘Blitz Kids’ to tread the catwalk. Daisy Lowe opened for the well received show in which we also saw Alice Dellal and Jaime Winstone model the designer’s vibrant catsuits and trademark skintight dresses.

Always defying convention, Pam found cult status through the ’80s and ’90s with her bold body-con dresses and eye catching graphic prints. Inspired by punk, the Blitz scene and later Acid House, it will be some of these pieces that will find their way into the new boutique.

The exclusive collection will include remakes of archive pieces in original printed fabrics as a tribute to her original store. Also available will be Pam’s new line, I-con, a range of t-shirts and matching bone china crockery which will sit alongside a selection of kitten/catsuits and summer dresses which will only be available to this boutique.

Pam’s Pop-Up Boutique is open  until June 13th

The world of new and innovative designers excites her and the mundane and lazy bore her.
