christian-louboutin-cupcakesTake a look at these ready–to-eat treats, styled by Lisa Edsälv and photographed by Therese Aldgard, these designer cupcakes were inspired by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Betsey Johnson and Agent Provocateur.

Following the hype surrounding the cakes – partly due to Kanye West’s discerning good taste, as he mentions them on his well read blog – many have wondered how did these little cakes come to be and more importantly where can we buy them?

agentprovocateur-cupcakesThe Swedish prop stylist admits the interest has surprised her and explains it was all down to her usual bout of creativity ‘’It was just a funny idea, we even thought about having a cupcake runway (show).’’ Lisa’s attention to detail to honour the labels featured on these couture cakes is amazing, just look at her take on the famous Louboutin signature red and black heel. ‘’It can be quite hard getting permission from the brands we use.’’ she added and it’s hard to imagine why when you see the homage paid by these tasty tributes.

But we want our cake now! Well the good news is Lisa has confirmed she is planning to launch her own cupcake store in New York in the near future. Are they not just a little bit too good to eat? Alright just a Louboutin…
