Do you have a devastating sense of style that would turn Anna Piaggi’s head or inspire John Galliano to seek you out for his next muse? Do you scrutinise the pictures on Face Hunter or The Sartorialist and think “Hmm…she has great style, I’d like to know more about her”?

Mystyle takes the snappers off the streets and puts the camera in your hands.

Name: Laura Jackson

Job: Womenswear editor for fashion industry bible Drapers and author of dress-a-day blog The Frock Dress Monster.

Where did buy your outfit?

This was a loan for my blog from cute brand Disaya, which is designed by CSM graduate Disaya Prokobsantisukh.

Who or what inspires you?

It’s clichéd, but people on the street are so inspirational – seeing someone in a great pair of boots, an amazing vintage blazer or doing something interesting with layering, I love experimenting with other people’s looks and adapting them for my own shape and style.

Where do you shop?

I am a high street junkie and I love to follow trends, but I like to mix it up with the odd designer piece (usually bought cheaply at somewhere like the Outnet), and I have a fantastic vintage leather jacket I got in New York for $50 which I adore.

Who are you listening to at the moment?

I am a Cheryl Cole obsessive and bought the album the morning it went on sale! I like little quirky artists too; I recently saw Charli XCX perform who was like a mental child on helium, and my friend has been looking after a band called Ou Est Le Swimming Pool? who are one to watch too.

Dream purchase?

A Mulberry Mabel – I have been coveting one for a good two years now.

Favourite bar, and why?

I love the Highgate Village pubs near my house – the Angel does amazing Sunday roasts in the winter, and Flask does wonderful barbeques in the summer.

Desert island book?

Second Star to the Right by Deborah Hautzig – it is about a girl suffering with an eating disorder and was my salvation when I was going through something similar in my early 20s.

Where’s the last place you visited?

Torquay – I was there doing some judging for some industry awards and it is so adorable. It still has a seafront pavillion and bucket and spade sellers.

Do you think you are cool?

Far from it! I am constantly surrounded by people much cooler than me, but it doesn’t faze me – as long as you are happy in your own skin, that is all that matters.

Can you run in heels?

As long as they have some kind of strap to keep ‘em on!
