What, another boutique range of chemical-free nail colours? Can there be space in the market for yet another collection? We don’t have space in our make-up bags, and the fridge is really for food, not nail products! Well, make space, because you’re definitely going to like Nailberry.
Who is Nailberry?
Well, it’s a rather unlikely story. Born and brought up in France, Sonia Hully arrived in the UK 20 years ago to work as au pair - what else? She’s worked in a diverse and fairly eclectic range of industries - starting off in finance before stints in film and then interiors. However, Hully always had a soft spot for the beauty world, and eventually took the plunge and opened her own nail salon in the heart of France-meets-London - South Kensington. Not content with the range of colours available to her, Hully decided there was only one thing for it; create her own professional-quality collection.
They Say…
“
The
colours
are luxurious
and

are
just
so
simple
and
so

quoi”!
We Think…
First of all, Nailberry gets a big fat tick in that all of the polishes are formulated without toxic chemicals - they’re free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl and camphor. And Hully’s experience in running a nail salon herself means that long-lasting, chip-free polish that goes on evenly is a given. The range is grouped into colour collections; a super simple touch that really makes sense. The Must, The French, The Blue, The Berries and The Neutrals. No we know that choosing nail colour isn’t that complicated, but it’s just rather cool isn’t it?
And now to the Nailberry packaging. It’s understated. It’s luxe. It’s French in that oh-so-chic Breton-tee-and-ballet-pumps way. Considering that this is Hully’s first foray into nail polish, the colour range is impressive. A riff on traditional reds? Go for The Berries. Something a little edgier? You’re after The Blue - try deep cobalt with Le Grand Bleu or summery Formentera. Then there are The Neutrals, where you’ll find something to suit almost every skintone, from pale Café au Lait to glossy, très chic Tout Chocolat. And of course, the basics are covered too with The French Collection - of course!
