Classic neutrals from Perret Schaad

Who are they?

Johanna Perret and Tutia Schaad met at Berlin design school Kunsthochschule. Graduating in 2009, they went on to work at Givenchy and Prêt a Porter before joining forces to create Perret Schaad. The duo showed their debut collection at Mercedes Benz Berlin Fashion week in January 2010, with their second in the following July.

The Look

Combining exquisite tailoring and neutral palette, each piece has a crisp, clean silhouette with pops of colour adding drama. Designed by women for women, pieces are cut to flatter and are very wearable.  The results are feminine but not obviously so, with sheer blouses, wide leg trousers and cinched in waists forming the mainstays of the collection.

The Buzz

Tapping into the minimal trend,  the label has attracted heavy-weight attention, including Vogue, Elle, Grazia and Women’s Wear Daily to name a few. Their blend of edgy Teutonic design and wearable luxury has made them a brand to watch.

Where to Buy

Perret Schaad is stocked a variety of boutiques, including Ulf Haines in Berlin, In The Woods in Seoul, Debut in New York, Forest Bird in Hong Kong and Destination Tokyo and Wut Berlin in Tokyo.  For more information, see the Perret Schaad website.
