Rose Bakery – Paris

Posted in Jetsetter » Tips » by :: February 16, 2009

rose-bakeryThe funky glass entrance to the Rose Bakery immediately sets it apart from the quiet street it inhabits, in an area of trendy boutiques and cafés. The interior is an appealing mixture of authentic brick walls and gleaming stainless steel, which emits modern minimalism but still manages to give it a of a cosy, local feel.

It does, however, feel less like a bakery and more like an organic wholesaler cum café. The steel deli counter displays tempting homemade cakes and biscuits, but your attention is mostly directed to the surrounding shelves of neatly stacked cereals, coffees, teas and other organic and fairtrade products.

There is also a menu, which changes daily featuring  freshly made food which is not too expensive considering the care that is obviously put into making it look simple but good for you.

Overall it’s a nice place to sit and chill out in, with plenty of tables to choose from. But be warned, the trendy atmosphere may have an effect on your decision to spend on the over-priced but oh so alluring jars of organic maple syrup.
