Shoes or Food?

Marc Jacobs? We like. Marc Jacobs with 50% off? We love!
I once received an email from a friend of mine with the subject line “Should I buy these and eat toast all next month?” On opening said email, what did I espy? A link to every fashionista’s website of choice, Net-a-Porter. Clicking on the link, what was my crazed friend willing to subsist on a diet of bread, bread and more bread for? A pair of Louboutins, if you hadn’t guessed already.
However thanks to Net-a-Porter’s little sister site, The Outnet, Louboutin lovers everywhere may now be able to purchase a pair of shoes and get their five-a-day. Canny and credit-crunch aware Natalie Massenet, founder of Net-a-Porter, has realised that even the fashion pack has less cash to flash in these hard times and accordingly launched The Outnet to give our bank balances a break. With a huge range of big name designers including Marc Jacobs, Chloé, Alexander McQueen and Mr Louboutin himself, selling their wares with sizeable discounts, The Outnet is bound to be a huge success.
The site will also offer “pop-up” and “going going gone” sales for that frisson of shopping excitement. Some of our current favourite pieces on the site include the modern classic Marni clutch, a great beach/party/work tomato red shift dress with cutout detailing from Marc by Marc Jacobs and some simply fabulous electric blue woven sandals from Louboutin, of course.
