Topshop Touting for Talent
Over the past few months the fashion media has been calling names. Cheryl Cole! Leona Lewis! Aggie! All wild stabs in the dark as to who could possibly be succeeding Kate Moss, Queen of Fashion, as the next celebrity designer for Topshop. The brand has denied all of these likely ladies as the next in line to the throne, however the tabloids have now put forward super songstress Christina Aguilera as a possible candidate, with the Daily Mirror going as far as quoting an unnamed source who claims a deal is imminent. The singer is currently the face of Stephan Webster Jewellery, and had a long running contract with Sketchers before her style turned far more lady-like and 40′s-esque with the release of her album ‘Back to Basics’ in 2006. Topshop could just be the ideal company for this little lady to turn her hand to, given its status as such a cutting edge high street fashion brand; drawing inspiration from the catwalks, while fueling the industry through its New Gen sponsorship program. However, Moss’s design contract with the company is due to last another 3 years, so any heiress will have to wait in line a little longer before buying her coronation outfit
